Text Version of Mrs. Slusser’s Connect Ed Call that went out today.
Good afternoon Cotee River families, this is Mrs. Slusser calling with an important reminder regarding Pasco County Schools’ feeding program tomorrow, Tuesday, April 21.
The bus will arrive at 4331 Fiji Drive (Summer Lake Villas) at 11 am. Staff members and additional support will be at the site before the bus arrives and will be asking you to follow staff’s instructions to stay away from the bus and to spread out as much as possible because we cannot have crowds gathering due to the mandated guidelines. It was great seeing you all last week and we appreciate your help in following these guidelines because it helps keep everyone healthy and safe.
Quick Update: Unlike last week, the bus will pull in near the apartment office and we will have a table with food bags set up in the office parking lot. We will also have a table set up for drive through service near the first intersection in the complex if you will be driving. This will allow you to stay in your car and we will place the items in your trunk or back seat.
It is vital that our families accessing this support continue to follow the guidelines in order for us to be able to continue this service. I appreciate everyone’s help with this and look forward to seeing you again Tuesday. Hope everyone enjoys your afternoon.
Although it saddens us greatly that we will not be able to return the remainder of the school year, I know we all can understand the importance of keeping everyone safe and healthy. Our staff and scholars will continue their learning for the remainder of the school through the MyLearning Virtual platform.
Even though we will not be able to hold our traditional celebrations at the end of the school year, we are prioritizing our 5th grade scholars articulating to middle school. We are in the process of developing a virtual promotion and information will be shared at a later date.
In addition, district is in the process of drafting the guidelines on how students will be able to gather their belongings, return technology and pick up items such as yearbooks and Spring pictures purchased by the end of the school year. Once schools receive the information, we will be able to develop a specific plan for our school and then share it out with our families next steps.
Also, Kindergarten pre-registration has begun. Information is posted on our school website. On-site Kindergarten registration will be held on Wednesday, July 8th, 2020. Please share this information with any families you know that have an incoming Kindergartner.
We hope everyone has a great start to week 4 of Virtual Learning. Take care.
