Good afternoon Cotee River families, this is Mrs. Slusser with important information. We are very excited for the upcoming school year. As we prepare for the upcoming school year, our families will begin to receive important messages from us and district. It is important that you stay connected in order to have the most up to date information as we start the 21-22 school year.
Mark your calendar for important upcoming dates and times:
- Thursday, August 5th Meet the Teacher and Registration Day: 9:30-12:00 Pre-K-2nd; 1:00-3:30 3rd-5th (Based on oldest child and able to visit all classes). Please limit to parents and our students. All families will start off in our cafeteria. In the cafeteria you will receive important information, pay school fees and receive your child’s teacher name. Our school supply lists are posted on our social media sites. When you attend Meet the Teacher Day, you may choose to bring in your child’s supplies. Please label all items with your child’s name and place applicable items in a pencil box or zipper pouch.
- If you are unable to attend Meet the Teacher Day you can access your child’s teacher name and bus information (if applicable) on the myStudent Parent Portal. Please check this on August 9th so you will know who your child’s teacher is for the first day of school. If you have not registered, you can do so by going to the Cotee River website (cres.pasco.k12.fl.us) and select the parent drop down and then select parent portal and follow the directions provided.
- Tuesday, August 10th: Children’s first day of school
- On the first day of school parents only may walk their child to the classroom.
- Also, on the first day school, PTA will host our KG Boo Hoo Breakfast. The time will be from 9:30-10:00. If you are a KG parent and would like to attend, please check in at the front office, after you drop your child off to class.
- Tuesday, August 24th will we host our annual Open House (additional information will be sent out when we start the school year).

Arrival
- Length of Day: 9:30 -3:50
- Drop Off may begin at 9:25 (only drop student off if there is a Cotee River Staff member or Safety Patrol Student present)
- All students who arrive after the tardy bell rings (9:40 am) will need to enter the school escorted by a parent through the office. A tardy slip will be given to the child and they will be sent to class
- Instruction begins promptly at 9:40 am.
