Mrs. Radcliffe’s Weekly Message August 5th

Good afternoon Cotee River families, this is Mrs. Radcliffe with important information. We are very excited for the upcoming school year. As we prepare for the upcoming school year, our families will begin to receive important messages from us and district. It is important that you stay connected, in order to have the most up to date information as we start the 26-27 school year.
Mark your calendar for important upcoming dates and times:
- School Hours are 9:50-4:00 (Instruction begins at 9:50). It is important that your child is here by 9:45, in order to arrive at class in time for instruction. All students who arrive after 9:50 will need to enter the school, escorted by a parent through the office. A tardy slip will be given to the child, and they will be sent to class.
- If your child is a car rider, we will begin unloading vehicles at 9:30. Please do not let your child out of the car until a staff member is there to assist. Please do not pull into the parking lot and let your child out, everyone must go through the car circle.
- When children arrive on campus, they can choose to get a free breakfast. Lunch is also free for all of our children.
- Dismissal begins at 4:00 pm. Please be sure to have your car tag, in your car window, for pickup through the car circle. If you do not have a tag, you will be asked to park and bring ID to the front office to confirm identity, for a safe child pickup. Important Update: The right lane is now designated for grades 3rd through 5th. The left lane is designated for Pre-K through 2nd grade and Special Needs. Your child will be brought to your vehicle by an adult. Please do not plan on parking and walking your child to the car. We will not release children to adults that are not in their vehicles.
- Monday, August 10th is Meet the Teacher Day, from 10:30-3:30. When you arrive, your child will receive a Scavenger Hunt form to complete and before going home receive a goodie. All families will start off in our cafeteria. In the cafeteria you will receive important information, pay school fees and receive your child’s teacher’s name. Our school supply lists are posted on our social media sites. When you attend Meet the Teacher Day, you may choose to bring in your child’s supplies.
- Thursday, August 13th is the first day of school.
- On the first day of school, we will only use one lane for dropping off. Starting Day 2, we will open up both lanes to drop off, in the morning.
- On the first day of school parents/guardians only may walk their child to the classroom door and drop off.
- Also, on the first day of school, PTA will host our KG Boo Hoo Breakfast. The time will be from 10:00-10:30. If you are a KG parent and would like to attend, please check in at the front office, after you drop your child off to class.
- The first couple of weeks of school the car line and buses can take an extended amount of time. We appreciate everyone’s understanding.
