Reminder that Winter Break begins Monday, December 21st and students return Wednesday, January 6th, 2021.  We look forward to seeing all of our scholars bright, smiling faces ready to learn no later than 9:40 Monday morning.  Take care

 

Important information for MSOL Families only:

There are two letters that have been developed for our current students participating in MSOL, due to the Executive Order from the state.  One letter is for students making adequate progress and one is for students who are not making adequate progress based on eligibility criteria (see criteria below).  The following letters have been distributed through email and information can be found within the parent portal. It is important that all of our families with a child participating in MSOL review the information.  If a mySchool Online family wishes to have their child remain in mySchool Online after receiving notification of the need to return to their school for second semester, the parent/guardian will need to acknowledge (see directions below and the letter received also includes a link) within their parent portal by Friday,  December 18, 2020. If this does not occur, your child will be assigned a classroom teacher, on our campus (Traditional setting).  If your child is planning to return, on campus, there is no acknowledgement needed within the parent portal.  All technology that was borrowed should be returned with your child, on January 6th. 

 

In addition, it is important to know that we will continue to monitor parent responses because this can have an impact on our current 4th and 5th MSOL classrooms.  As of now we are projecting that our 4th and 5th grade students will be combined together with one teacher, similar to our 2nd/3rd grade MSOL classroom.  As we receive parent responses, for students returning to Cotee River, on campus, we will assign students to a classroom.  Due to parents having up until we leave for Winter Break (December 18th to respond), some of the class placements and final decisions may not occur until we return on January 5th, planning day.  When your child has been assigned to a class, their teacher’s information can also be found within the parent portal.  If you have any questions please contact the front office, 727 774-3000.
